LFD SOFT FURNISHING

I have always had a love for sewing, since I can remember, I saved up for a second hand sewing machine, stared making my own clothes and things for friends.  My first job was in a curtain factory in Kilburn London, it was meant to be just for the summer until I went to sixth form, I never went to Sixth form, instead I went to the London college of furniture in East London one day a week to train for a city and Guilds.  

My Next Job was for a bigger company, here I got to work with the upholsterer sometimes, giving me a feel for making cushions and not just curtains.

The next two companies were much closer to home, as I had a young family,  they both gave me much more freedom to try different things including swags /Tails and loose covers, a chance to play with Ideas. I finally became a supervisor which came with a lot of responsibility.
